More… The Silent Witness program allows citizens to voluntarily register their exterior facing, home surveillance cameras with the Deer Park Police Department in an effort to assist in solving crimes. When a crime occurs in the vicinity of a residence that has a registered camera, the Investigator will make contact with the owner and ask to view their video in an attempt to identify the suspect. Knowledge of cameras in and around the city would save us valuable time during investigations and could help in apprehending offenders. The program is entirely voluntary and consent to view video footage from your camera could be withdrawn at any time.Less…
