City of Deer Park utility billing customers: Please see the important message below regarding paper bills for December 2018 and January 2019.
Due to a vendor printing error for the City’s utility billing, customers set up to receive a paper statement will be receiving a second copy of their December 2018 utility bill in the coming days. This item should be ignored as corrected January 2019 bills are being processed today, January 3, and are expected to reach all customers over the next week. Utility bills for January 2019 are due on January 20.
The City of Deer Park sincerely apologizes for this error, and Utility Billing staff will be available to answer any questions or provide clarification for customers at 281-478-7221.
"We received notification today that the vendor who processes the physical utility bills mistakenly re-processed the December 2018 bills instead of processing and sending the January 2019 bills,” said Jeffery Johnson, Utility Billing Manager. “While our customers who receive their bills via email will not be affected, our customers who receive physical bills will unfortunately receive an additional copy of their December bill prior to receiving their January bill.
“We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion that arises from this issue, and we are working with our vendor to get the correct January bills mailed to our customers as soon as possible.”
Johnson emphasized that those customers who receive their utility bills via email, as well as those who have set up automatic payments for their utility billing accounts, will not be affected by this error.
“If you are one of our customers that goes online to pay their utility bill each month, this will not affect your payment and you will be able to view and pay your January 2019 charges,” Johnson said. “We would encourage our customers to take this opportunity to learn more about making payments online or over the phone.”
